Gel Batteries
Gel batteries, also known as gel cell batteries or valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) gel batteries, are a type of rechargeable battery that uses a gel electrolyte instead of a liquid one. The electrolyte is transformed into a thick, gel-like substance by the addition of silica gels.
One of the key advantages of gel batteries is their ability to provide high performance in a compact, maintenance-free package. They are capable of delivering a high amount of power for a brief period, making them ideal for applications such as backup power systems, solar power systems, and electric vehicles. Because the gel battery is sealed, it is also immune to spillage and leakage, making it safer to use and handle than other types of batteries.
Gel batteries are available in a range of configurations, including 12V gel batteries, deep cycle gel batteries, marine gel batteries, and gel motorcycle batteries. This makes them suitable for a variety of different power applications, including golf carts, RVs, and automobiles. The price of gel batteries varies depending on the size and capacity of the battery, as well as the manufacturer. Rechargeable gel batteries offer customers an additional cost-effective option.
